AI-Native Concept Tests

Killing templates: AI invents each concept whole. Three approaches tested against the template batch they replace. Finding: AI one-shot carries most of it; code-overlay only where the exact trademark logo is required.

Round 1 — full AI, one-shot

AI renders everything: scene, headline, copy, and the logo. 12/12 ship-quality. Each shown pure-AI vs with a brand-board reference.

Round 2 — AI scene + code overlay

AI renders imagery; code overlays the real logo + exact brand fonts. Pixel-perfect, guaranteed. Last two are Comfrt × New York Post cobrands with the real masthead.

01Hands + mug
Warmth, on demand.
02Macro type
Softness has a name.
03Flatlay
Sunday starts here.
04Windowsill
Your softest hour.
05NYP cobrand
The hoodie people keep reaching for.
06NYP cobrand
Meet the hoodie people are living in.

Round 3 — can AI render the NYP masthead?

Surprise: AI rendered "NEW YORK POST" legibly and correctly in all four (no-ref and with the real logo as reference). It is a convincing approximation, not the exact trademark. So code-overlay is about trademark-exactness, not legibility.
