Price is the easiest thing to compare, and the least informative. These seven checks take about ten minutes, work on any provider, and every one has a verifiable answer.
Online weight-loss care is a crowded field, and almost every comparison you'll find sorts it by price. That is the one axis that tells you nothing about whether anyone will actually look after you.
The axes that do tell you something are all checkable: public registers, published policies, questions with yes-or-no answers. Here are the seven worth running, on any provider you are considering. Curate passes all seven; that is the standard this page holds it to, and you should hold everyone to it.
Every legitimate UK online pharmacy has a General Pharmaceutical Council registration you can search on the GPhC's public register. No number published, or a number that doesn't match the trading name, ends the conversation there.
Curate publishes its registration: GPhC pharmacy 9012920. Check it, and check whoever else is in your tabs.
Dispensing and prescribing are separately regulated in the UK. The service deciding whether treatment is appropriate for you should be inspected for it. Curate's prescribing is CQC-regulated; the provider you're comparing should be able to say the same in one sentence.
Somewhere behind every online form, something approves the order. Ask who. Curate's answer, in its own words: "Software never prescribes; a named prescriber holds the accountability."
A name and a registration you can look up. If the provider can't tell you whose decision it was, nobody made one.
Compare the questions to a shipping form. An assessment worth the name reads your symptoms, history, goals and the markers that matter, and no product should be pre-selected before it. If the offer arrives before the questions do, you are in a shop, not a clinic.
The most honest line a provider can publish is the one that limits its own sales: "Completing a consultation does not guarantee a prescription. Our UK-registered clinicians review every request and prescribe only where clinically appropriate."
That is Curate's, verbatim. A service that can decline you is a service that is actually screening. Look for the equivalent sentence on any provider you're considering; its absence is informative.
Anyone can look attentive at the first order. Ask what is scheduled afterwards. Curate's published shape: a named clinician review within 48 hours to begin, then scheduled reviews that re-read your progress and move the plan on your data.
If the follow-up plan is "reorder when you run out", that is retail wearing a stethoscope.
Read the cancellation terms before the price. Curate's are one line: "No auto-renewal. Pause or stop any time; your history is kept so you never start over." Pay as you go, no subscription.
Lock-in is a substitute for being worth staying with. The providers confident in their care rarely need a contract to keep you.
Your data sets the direction, not a shelf of products we've already decided to sell.curatehealth.co.uk
