Before Milamend was a product, it was a recipe she gave away for free

Mila Magnani spent years bouncing between doctors and trying various medications before she was finally diagnosed with PCOS. What she built in the meantime was for her own kitchen. Then she published the whole thing, amounts included, for nothing.

Most supplement brands start with a formulator, a factory and a gap on a shelf. This one started with a woman writing down what she was already taking, and then giving the list away.

Women mixed it themselves, in their own kitchens, ordering the powders separately and weighing them out on the counter. Some of them are quoted further down this page, and they were doing it months before there was anything to buy.

If supplements have let you down before, the order those things happened in is the only real reason to think this one is different.

First there was a counter full of bottles

Before there was a bag with a label on it, there was a kitchen counter that looked like this one. Years of appointments, years of trying the next thing, and a shelf that kept getting more crowded while the symptoms sat roughly where they started. Nothing about that stretch is dramatic. It is just long, and anyone who has lived it recognises the counter immediately.

A shelf like this is not a routine. It is a list of things you are still hoping will work.

Then she stopped guessing and started measuring

The turning point was not a new ingredient. It was the amount. Mila went back to the research herself and rebuilt what she was taking around the doses studies actually use, in the forms the body absorbs: inositol, B6 as P5P, folate as 5-MTHF rather than folic acid, then zinc, selenium and chromium on top. For a long stretch the whole company was one woman, a measuring spoon and her own symptoms to go on.

Most of what she had been taking was not wrong. It was under-dosed, and nothing on the bottle told her so.

And then she gave the whole formula away

This is the part that is hard to fake. Before there was a product, a price or a checkout, she published the formula: the ingredients, the amounts and the research behind them, free to anyone who wanted to make it themselves. No email address, no funnel, nothing to buy at the end of it.

Anyone can buy an ad. Nobody can go back and give their recipe away before they had anything to sell.

Women made it at home before there was a bag to buy

They ordered six powders separately, weighed them out and drank something that tasted like homework, because the alternative was another year of the shelf. A lot of them only left a review much later, once there was finally something to review, and they still open by saying they were there before the brand existed.

Those reviews are the whole proof, and they are further down this page in the women’s own words.

It became a product because mixing it yourself gets old

Weighing out six powders every morning is fine for a month. It is not fine for the three to six months this actually asks of you, which is why so many women stop before they know whether it was doing anything. So the formula went into one bag: twenty-eight stick packs, one drink, everything already measured out.

Nothing in it is exotic. What is unusual is that the amounts were public before the product was.

Milamend Hormone Balance is a daily drink for the insulin side of PCOS. It is a supplement, and it does not replace anything your doctor has you on.

What is in the formula

The formula she published, in one bag

Nothing is hidden, because the whole thing was public first. Every ingredient is named, and every blend total is printed on the label. The amounts are the ones the research used, and one scoop takes the place of the shelf of single-symptom bottles most women end up with. Each serving carries a 2,050mg inositol blend for how your body uses insulin, zinc at 5mg for the androgen side, chromium at 100mcg for blood sugar and the cravings that come with it, plus B6 at 5mg, folate at 250mcg, selenium at 100mcg, CoQ10, alpha lipoic acid and a 2,500mg amino blend.

For PCOS the protocol is two servings a day, one with breakfast and one with dinner. It is a supplement. Plenty of women take it alongside a prescription, and what you decide about medication stays between you and your doctor.

The women who made it at home first

I used to make this hormone balancing drink when Mila first released the ingredients/supplement dosages online. It helped me so much when I was first on my journey of healing my PCOS.

It has been a life changer since the recipe was on TikTok, but seeing able to buy it all in one, and knowing the work and quality behind it I am so happy with it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the free recipe still out there?
The formula was published openly before there was a product, which is why so many of the reviews on this page open by saying they made it themselves first. What you are buying now is the same thing already measured out and mixed, in twenty-eight stick packs, so you are not weighing six powders every morning.
How soon will I notice anything?
Milamend’s own guidance: around two weeks for a lift in energy, deeper sleep and steadier mood. By about four weeks, better digestion and less bloating. Skin and cycles are the slowest of the group and take three to six months of consistent use.
Do I need an official PCOS diagnosis?
No. The cravings, the energy dip and the cycle that will not keep to a schedule travel together for a lot of women whether or not anyone has given them the label yet.
Can I take it alongside my prescription?
Many women do. Milamend is not a replacement for anything your doctor has you on, and whatever the two of you decide about medication stays between you. Check with your provider first.
Why is it not cheaper?
It is one drink standing in for a shelf of single-ingredient bottles, at the amounts the research used rather than a token dose. Subscribe and it comes down; you can pause or cancel anytime.
Is it good quality?

She made it for herself first. That is the entire pitch.

No gap in the market, no formulator, no launch plan. She needed it, published it for free because other women needed it, and only made it a product because measuring six powders every morning gets old. One drink, once or twice a day, with the amounts already settled.
